Starter kits for students and hobbyists

Trying to find everything you need to get started in a new hobby or career is often very tricky - I certainly found it so. At the beginning you don't need a lot of stuff but most of it is only available from trade suppliers where you cannot just buy one (all you need!) or sometimes in a hobby shop or garden centre (or perhaps a florist shop) where it is individually packaged ands consequentially costs a fortune.  As I learned more about the industry I found it increasingly difficult to get my hands on quality materials at reasonable prices.  So I came up with the idea of the starter kit.  An extension of this will see us offering one-off (or minimally packaged) products at sensible prices so that you don't have to spend a fortune to get on.

We have done everything we can to keep this price as low as possible.  You will have noticed that we have not included a couple of items which other kits always include. Well our intention, at the suggestion of our tutor advisors, is to provide a cost effective starter option. So we have not included an apron as most of you will buy one from your college and non-college students and home arrangers could use an old one of their own to start with, although we will soon have our own ‘Floristique’ apron. Another item we have missed out are the secateurs which are expensive. You might have a pair already and any cheap pair would be OK for foliage.
